“Welcome to our Green Paradise”. El Paraíso Verde is located in Atenas. Atenas is situated 24km away from the airport "Juan Santamaria" and located 700 m above sea level. The climate is settled and calm - the locals say we are blessed with the best climate in the world. We are a small family bed & breakfast, owned and run by a relaxed and focussed Swiss couple. The premises are securely enclosed in a clean, cared for, and ecologically friendly landscaped garden which is in a beautiful, quiet location with a panoramic view to the "meseta central". Throughout the whole year the temperatures remain comfortably between 20 and 32°C. Atenas is very well situated for a good variety of trips and tours, and within easy reaching distances of all parts of the Country.

	You can relax in our swimming pool whilst enjoying views across to the Poás, Barva, Irazú and Turrialba volcanoes.
	Discover our garden with a varied collection of tropical plants, fruit trees (Mango, Avacado, Lemon, Orange, Mandarin, Papaya etc). There are also many species of visiting animals (birds, lizards, and with luck some monkeys, toucans, sloth, etc.)
