Coming from international airport "Juan Santamaria" (driving time approx. 30 minutes): Follow the Panamericana direction Nicaragua (signs Cañas, Liberia) about 11km up to the exit "Atenas". Further 14km on the main road. In Atenas at the traffic light turn right direction Palmares, see plan (ev. print).

Coming from San José (driving time approx. 45 minutes): at the "Sabana Park" south side you take the new highway 27 "Autopista del Sol" until exit Atenas. From there it is about 3.3km on the bypass/radial to Atenas center. At the end of the radial turn right up to the gas station, further turn left up to the traffic light, turn right direction Palmares, see plan (ev. print).

Coming from middle/south Pacific Ocean: from the harbour Caldera up to San José there is the new highway 27 "Autopista del Sol". Take the exit for Atenas and follow as above.

Coming by bus: From San José terminus Coca Cola (in San José known everywhere) directly by bus to Atenas, driving time approx. 1¼ h. From Alajuela center (bus terminal) directly  by bus to Atenas, driving time approx. 1h. Several buses run from the middle and south Pacific Ocean and will stop on request in Atenas.
